From Start to Finish

Whether we're developing a screenplay, preparing for production, filming on location, or putting the finishing touches on a project in post-production, this is where you'll find the latest updates from our team. We believe that filmmaking is more than what audiences see on screen—it's a process built on collaboration, creativity, and countless hours of preparation behind the scenes.

As our projects continue to grow, so does the amount of planning required to bring them to life. Every production begins with conversations. Those conversations become meetings. Meetings become ideas, outlines, rewrites, storyboards, schedules, and eventually, a production ready to step in front of the camera. Sometimes that process takes weeks. Other times, it takes months.

Every stage is just as important as the next because every decision contributes to the final film.

Over the past few years, we've continued to refine the way we communicate and collaborate as a team. New workflows, production methods, and creative systems have helped us stay organized while ensuring that every department remains connected throughout development.

One tool that has become indispensable to our process is Milanote.

Before incorporating Milanote into our workflow, pre-production often meant juggling multiple documents, notes, emails, and conversations across different platforms. While the work continued to move forward, we knew there had to be a more efficient way to organize ideas and communicate with our cast and crew.

That changed during the pre-production of our 2025 short film, COLLECTION.

It was the first time Isiah Cain and John DiMarco collaborated on a production together. During that process, John introduced Milanote to the team, and almost immediately it transformed the way we approached development.

What began as a new organizational tool quickly became the foundation of our pre-production process.

As productions like IF YOU LOST IT ALL and HEY followed, our collaborative workflow continued to evolve. There was an unspoken understanding between John and Isiah: every script, breakdown, shot list, storyboard, location, prop, costume, and production note deserved a place where the entire team could contribute, collaborate, and stay informed.

Today, Milanote serves as the backbone of our pre-production pipeline.

From script breakdowns and production schedules to creative references and departmental planning, it has allowed us to broaden the way we communicate while keeping every member of our team working toward the same vision.

As BNI MEDIA GROUP continues to grow, so will the systems that support our productions. This page exists to share that journey with you—from the earliest ideas discussed in a meeting to the moment a finished project reaches the screen.
